Basilio Tabacchi was born in 1966 in Pieve di Cadore, a small village near Venice, in Italy.

Even as a child he loved magic and at the age of fifteen attended the Ancona school for conjurors under the director ship of Giuseppe Bressan, founder of the Italian Magic Club.

 

From 1987 to 1990 he attended the Entertainment Academy of Veneto, where he qualified as an actor. He then specialized in the Comedy of Art.

 

In 1988 “Wonderland Follies” was born, a show, which encompassed all aspects of magic (manipulation, illusion, mentalism and comedy) in collaboration with another magician  and was performed in all the major Italian Cities.

From this partner ship an agency of special effect in magic for the theatre was formed.

 

From 1987 he has also collaborated with the Italian Magic Club, the national conjurors’ association, giving exhibitions in the most prestigious venues.

 

From 1992 to 1994 he has performed on various TV programmes on RAI 1, RAI 2 and CANALE 5, the principles national channels.

 

In 1994 he also worked as consultant of magic effects for an important TV programme (IL GRANDE GIOCO DELL’OCA) prime time on RAI 1.

 

In 1995 he started working on Cruise Ships and since then he has traveled all over the world.

 

Basilio speaks fluent French, Italian, Spanish and English and this has permitted him to perform on great international stages in the recent years.

 

He has worked on Cruise Lines, in Cabaret and in the theatre. In the last years he has performed at Casino Palace in the Canary Isles, Hit Casino Perla Slovenia, Theatre Olimpico Rome, Costa Cruise Line (Romantica, Classica, Marina, Allegra, Victoria, Europa, Riviera, Magica, Favolosa); Holland America Cruise Line (Westerdam, Noordam, Prinsendam, Eurodam, Ryndam, Volendam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Koonigsdam, Oosterdam); Norwegian Cruise Line (Marcopolo, Sun, Dream, Crown, Jewel, Gem, Jade, Star, Epic); Celebrity Cruise Line (Horizon, Millenium, Galaxy); Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (Grandeur, Legend, Splendour, Voyager); Silver Sea (Shadow), Oceania (Regatta, Insigna, Riviera, Nautica), Regent (Voyager, Mariner, Navigator), Princess Cruises (Star Princess) and more.

 

At the moment he can perform three separate shows.

 

The first is Comedy Magic, a show based on sketches and jokes involving the public. It is an entirely spoken show, in one or more languages at the same time (English, Spanish, Italian, French and German), suitable for an international audience. It last about 50 minutes.

 

The second is a mix of Comedy Magic and Comedy Mentalism, involving the audience, suitable for an international audience. It last about 45-50 minutes

 

 The third is a Close-Up magic to be performed with the assistance of a video camera and screen and suitable in a theatre or parlour . It lasts 45 minutes.
